Meet Max…

I had just finished shooting a wedding and was putting equipment away when Max decided it was a great time for us to pull back out all the equipment and take pictures of funny faces or peoples butts….

Wait! Please let me explain. A while back I gave Max an old point and shoot camera I found in our junk drawer in the kitchen since he is constantly swiping my DSLR to take pics of his feet or himself in the mirror (he is going to be a great photographer one day if only he had an iPhone). He soon got bored with that and moved on to taking pictures of peoples butts and then proceeds to showing them with uncontrollable laughter as if to say “Your butt looks funny from my level…see.”

Since I had recently bought some new lighting equipment and hadn’t really been able to play with it yet I thought Max’s impromptu “Butts and Faces” photo session was a great idea. Since Max’s idea of a funny face consist of him just putting his hands in-front of his face and cocking his head sideways, his funny faces don’t end up being all that funny. After quickly realizing Max wasn’t giving me anything to work with I just simply asked him to shake his head and scream as loud as he could which unleashed Max’s natural instinct to be himself which is pretty darn funny.

When you play with dogs you get stitches.

Max and Sky consider each other brothers, best friends and wrestling partners, but when your wrestling partner is furry and three times your size,  accidents are bound to happen.  This story isn’t all blood and tears though; dinosaur stickers, a balloon, a slushy machine, ipad and a tube of “Super Glue” from the children’s ER later, he was back to jumping around with his canine brother.
